Thanks for sticking with me through our discussion of the Foundations of Health.
Air, water, sleep, food, stress/emotions and community are all critical pieces of a healthy life. Good habits in these areas will provide your body the support it needs to heal and thrive. By supporting healthy function, all other more specialized interventions will be even more effective and successful. Remember, you can’t build a skyscraper, or even a cozy family home, without a good foundation. Support yourself rather than getting in your own way.
Like I said in Food: “He that takes medicine and neglects diet wastes the skills of the physician.” ~ Chinese proverb
Also, be patient with yourself when starting to make some these lifestyle changes. It usually takes about 3 months for a new habit or behavior to really establish itself. It would be unreasonable to think you would do everything perfect tomorrow. Just keep taking small steps in the right direction and one day, before you know it, you will get there.
